UPSC Examination-

UPSC is stands for Union Public Service Commission, established on 1 October 1926. It is a government agency which is responsible for recruiting officers into the services of the country. The civil services includes services like -I.A.S., I.F.S., I.P.S., I.R.S., etc. and these are the paret’s of India’s civil services- and also known as backbone of the country’s administration system. These services played a very vital role in the administration. Through this examination you can serve the country as an officer.

About UPSC Exam’s phases or stages-

So, there are three phases or stages in UPSC examination and these are as follow-

  1. Preliminary exam
  2. Mains exam
  3. Interview.

Let’s discuss about UPSC Exam’s stages-

(1) Prelims-This exam is also pupular as objective Test . It comprises of two compulsory papers general studies paper I and general studies paper II of 200b marks. This stage is required for qualifying the paper means marks of prelims will not counted for final ranking. It is qualifying in nature.

(2) Mains-Mains exam is the written examination and consist of nine (9) papers, but out of 9 papers only seven papers will be counted for final merit. Rest of two papers are also only qualifying nature means for only securing minimum marks set by UPSC are required for these two papers. Total marks of Mains examination is 1750.

(3) Interview-The primary objective of UPSC interview is to evaluate the candidate’s aptitude in administrative abilities. It is also popular as Personality test in UPSC. Total marks of Interview exam is 275 marks.

NOTE-Cracking UPSC Examination is not soo easy nor too tough, it can be cracked through a proper strategy and guidance.

The number of attempts for I.A.S. examination – General category-6 attempts till the age of 32, OBC-9 attempts till the age of 35, SC/ST-unlimited attempts till the age of 37 years.
